Effective surveillance is essential for early detection of new and exotic diseases, management of disease outbreaks and endemic disease control. Our researchers will address critical gaps in Australia’s surveillance capacity by providing disease control authorities with improved tools for better decision-making.
This program stream focuses on systematically capturing, organising and linking surveillance data from different sources, and developing new decision support tools and systems using spatial analysis and computer modelling.
